Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are a permanent, natural solution to restore your smile’s beauty.
Veneer Teeth
If you have ever desired a brighter, more beautiful smile, you are not alone. Each year, more and more people in the UK seek out cosmetic dental treatments to restore the beauty of their smile. Porcelain veneers – also called laminate veneers – are a bespoke solution to repair stained, misshapen, cracked, or crooked teeth.Â
Veneers are extremely thin; custom-made moulds created out of porcelain. They are bonded to one or more teeth and aim to restore the natural beauty of your smile.Â
The Benefits of Veneers
Veneer teeth represent a permanent and natural cosmetic treatment to repair imperfect teeth. Ceramic veneers are popular because they offer a very natural appearance and feel, especially since the gums quickly adapt to the veneer.
Veneers are tailor-made to match the colour of your existing teeth, and, once in place, they are long-lasting and stain-resistant.Â
Compared to crowns, veneers are easier to fit and require much less shaping and enamel removal.
What To Expect From Veneers Fitting
The veneer fitting process can feel intimidating, but your dentist at the Dental Health Centre will guide you through every step and answer all of your questions. After the initial consultation, your dentist will arrange the first appointment, during which your teeth’s surfaces are reshaped to accommodate the veneers.Â
During this step, a thin layer of enamel is removed from your teeth. You might choose to receive a sedative to reduce discomfort. Once the teeth are shaped and ready, your dentist will take impressions of your teeth and send them to our in-house laboratory.Â
It can take up to four weeks for our lab to create your custom-made veneers – but don’t worry! Your dentist will fit temporary veneers that are removed only when your permanent veneers are ready.Â
During your second appointment, your Dental Health Centre dentist will prepare your teeth by cleaning and polishing them. The permanent veneers are then fitted and cemented to your teeth. Lastly, your dentist will adjust the veneers’ colour and feel to give them a natural and uniform appearance.Â

Frequently Asked Questions
Veneers aesthetically enhance your smile by covering unsightly teeth. They also protect your teeth from further damage and prevent more involved dental treatment in the future, such as having crowns fitted.
Veneers will cover the unsightly surfaces of chipped and crooked teeth, teeth which are discoloured, as well as teeth that have been unevenly aligned or spaced.
If you take good care of them, veneers can last for many years.
